MSF Supporters,
After almost four years with the Matthew Shepard Foundation, the time has come for me to leave. I’ve accepted an offer to work for a tech company that is expanding their civil rights platform. Today is my last day.
I’m eternally grateful to Dennis and Judy Shepard, members of the Board of Directors, and the incredible staff and volunteers for allowing me to join them in their quest to Erase Hate and create a more compassionate and equitable society. I’m proud of all that we accomplished with our hate crime prevention training program, our outreach to corporations, nonprofits, and governmental agencies to share Matt’s story, and our work to bring support and uplift legacy works like The Laramie Project and Considering Matthew Shepard.
Although my time with the Foundation has come to an end, the goal of amplifying Matt’s story to change hearts and minds continues with my full support. If you are interested in bringing a hate crime prevention training to your department or community, please learn more here (https://www.matthewshepard.org/creating-safer-communities-hate-crimes-prevention-training/).
Onward towards a more peaceful and equitable union,
Cynthia
