On April 7, Dennis Shepard joined students and faculty at the University of Wyoming, Laramie, to present at the 20th Annual Shepard Symposium for Social Justice. In line with this year’s anniversary theme, Dennis presented A Family’s Journey: 20 Years in LGBTQ+ Advocacy, reflecting on the evolution of the LGBTQ+ movement since 1998, when his son’s death shocked a nation and inspired a new generation of activists.
